Chasing After Them

Hiding and running away.
She didn't know where she ended up, she only knew that she is far away from thatland.
Time did not matter.
That land gave her a sense of euphoria she desperately craved; to hear the murmured prayers from her people's lips, but the pain of knowing that those prayers were not for her sent her crashing back down onto the ground.
It reminded her.
She is an imposter.
A thief.
A shameless, shameless villain that took what was rightfully hers.
Could you steal from yourself?
She is no longer that being.
She can no longer be.
And yet, she knew, the seat left empty, on the very summit of the mountain, would always belong to her.
Even if she is no longer her.

Frustratingly, her feelings for him were difficult to put into words.
She wasn't the woman reflected in his eyes.
And yet, her heart desired him.
Her love is blind.
Inhumane.
